A is for Acceptance 10/24/2016 As a little girl I was always smiling and had a positive outlook on life. I had my Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery at age three and Percutaneous Myofascial Tendon Lengthening at age seven. Both of surgeries, both helped me function more typically but, it wasn’t until I got older that I became fully aware of my Cerebral Palsy and how it would affect me for the rest of my life. When I was finally at an age where I could understand my disability, I felt like a switch flipped inside my mind. I
